Leather Boutique Opens on Austin Street

Last month, jacket store Leather Boutique opened at 70-37 Austin St. in Forest Hills.

Patch spoke to manager Salman Waheed about the products sold at the jacket store and how it is unique for the community.

When did Leather Boutique open?

We opened on Oct. 1.

What are some of the types of jackets you offer and what’s the store’s price range?

We have leather jackets and wool goose down brand names like Michael Kors, Guess, Kenneth Cole, North Face and Neiman Marcus. We have jackets that range from $99 to $400.

Do your jackets change by season?
We have lighter weight jackets in the spring. And we’ll sell some handbags in the summer.

How is the Leather Boutique unique for the community?

We’re strictly an outerwear store, so I don’t think there are any other stores that are strictly like that. Some carry seasonal items, but we do this all year-round.
