112th Precinct Sponsors Poster Contest

Students from Forest Hills asked to create posters on "tolerance."

An annual favorite among students in the area, the 112th Precinct Community Council poster contest is back and looking for entries.

The theme of this year's poster contest is Tolerance, in the hope that children who enter will think about what it means to accept their classmates, neighbors and friends for who they are. It's a particularly important topic, representatives of the council said, because of the strong diversity of Queens.

In 2009, the precinct sponsored an anti-drug poster contest that received dozens of entries from students in the area.
