<strong>Bio</strong>

Kristin grew up in Bayside, Queens. She attended Bayside High School and graduated from the Renaissance Program. She has always been active within the Bayside community through her work at local organizations, including the Queens County Farm Museum, and teaching dance and fitness classes.

As an undergraduate at Hofstra University, Kristin double majored in Geology and English with a concentration in creative writing. She took part in a custom Honors College program focusing on science journalism, where she had the opportunity to write about environmental policy and its influence on both human health and the environment.

Kristin’s writing career truly began in the sixth grade, where she was asked to write a one page story about a Halloween witch. One page turned into eight, and a lengthy amount of time reading this story out loud to her classmates. She continues to write fictional short stories, children’s books, and is currently working on her first novel, which she hopes will be nothing like her story of the Halloween witch.

Kristin is excited to write for the Patch, sharing her love for both new and interesting things, as well as her community.
