Yoga Beginner's Course, Ballroom Dancing Highlight Week Ahead in Forest Hills

Monday
Bamboomoves, located at 107-40 Queens Blvd., is kicking off an eight-week beginner yoga course at 8:30 a.m. It will cover postures, alignments, breathing techniques, diet and nutrition and an introduction to yoga philosophy.
The Forest Hills Library, located at 108-19 71st Ave., will host a ballroom dancing class at 6:30 p.m. Instructor Jing Chen will teach ballroom basics for beginners and training for advanced students.
Thursday
The Central Queens Y, located at 67-09 108th St. in Forest Hills, is holding a knitting workshop at noon. Elvera Joseph and Anoush Bog will lead the event, showing attendees how to make yarn by using Navajo, Armenian and Turkish heirloom spindles.
Sunday
The Queens Botanical Garden, located at 43-50 Main St. in Flushing, is hosting an electronic waste recycling event from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Attendees will be able to responsibly dispose of their unwanted or broken gadgets or appliances.
The botanical garden is also holding an event focusing on recycled and repurposed children's crafts at 1 p.m. on Sunday.
