Holiday Spelling Bee, Pranayama Workshop Highlight Week Ahead in Forest Hills

Monday
The Central Queens Y, located at 67-09 108th St., is offering a winter break mini-camp through the end of the year. On Monday, attendees will swim and take part in other activities, while Tuesday will include a visit to "Mother Africa" at the New Victory Theater.
Tuesday
The Forest Hills Library, located at 108-19 71st Ave., will hold the final round of its holiday spelling bee at 3 p.m. Students in grades three through six who made it through the first round on Dec. 27 will compete for a prize.
Saturday
Bamboomoves, located at 107-14 Queens Blvd., is hosting a Pranayama workshop called Working with the Breathe at 2:30 p.m. The class will focus on classical yogic breathing techniques.
Sunday
The Central Queens Y, located at 67-09 108th St., is offering a dance and Capoeira open house from noon to 4 p.m. The classes are aimed at youths between the ages of 3 and 13 years. Preregistration is required.
