Classical Guitar at the Library, Chanukah at the Y Highlight Week Ahead in Forest Hills

Monday

There will be a free Mommy and Me trial class at 10:15 a.m. at the Reform Temple of Forest Hills, located at 71-11 112th St.

The Trio Sans Frontieres, a classical guitar group, will perform at 6 p.m. at the Forest Hills Library, located at 108-19 71st Ave.

Tuesday

The Center for the Women of New York will hold a general meeting at Queensborough Hall, located at 120-55 Queens Blvd., room 213, at 7 p.m. The meeting will include a presentation by Health First as well as a discussion on the Affordable Care Act.

The Central Queens Y, located at 67-09 108th St. in Forest Hills, will hold a forum on the Affordable Care Act at 10 a.m.

Wednesday

The 112th Precinct Community Council will hold its monthly meeting at 7:30 p.m. at the precinct, located at 68-40 Main St. in Forest Hills. The meeting will also act as a backpack and suitcase donation drive for local foster children.

Friday


New Jersey's Pushcart Players will perform "Peter and the Wolf" at 10 a.m. at Queensborough Community College's performing arts center, located at 222-05 56th ave. in Bayside.

Sunday

The Central Queens Y, located at 67-09 108th St., will celebrate Chanukah with a festival of lights from 1 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. The event will include a juggling show with Michael Karas, inflatables and games, Chanukah crafts, a children’s book fair, face painting, bakers and shakers and snacks. Every child who attends receives a holiday surprise.
