Up to Three Inches of Snow Possible for Tuesday

Sleet, freezing rain could make for nasty commute.

Sunday's mild dusting across New York City could have just been the prelude to a storm that could dump three inches on the city come Tuesday, according to the National Weather Service

The NWS says that a storm could bring three inches of precipitation across the city by noon Tuesday.

While three inches of snow isn't exactly blizzard conditions, Tuesday's storm could prove a problem for both morning and afternoon commutes because of the temperature predictions.

With the weather hovering around 32 degrees, snow could also blend with sleet and freezing rain to combine for dangerous commuting.
