Weekend Weather: Hot and Rainy

Every summer weekend is precious, with the warm hours slipping by every day.

So we're helping you make the most of your days off this summer with our Weekend Weather Watch, with information from the National Weather Service.

There's a reason people leave the city every August. It's about to get muggy, stormy and hot.

Friday: High temperature could reach the mid-90's, and there is a chance of rain and lightning storms once the sun goes down. At least then it will cool off, with temperatures in the mid-70's.

Saturday: Afternoon storms will hang around, most likely, with temperatures just missing the 90-degree mark. Then the rain will probably hold off overnight.

Sunday: Spotty storms throughout the day, with high temperatures again almost reaching the 90's.
