Hero: Bustillo, who has shown his talents as an A-team anchor all season, came to play on Wednesday, posting a strong 233 and guiding the A-team to a 742-511 victory over Bushwick's A squad. Bustillo's only open frame of the match was the tenth. Special mention should also be made of Curtis, who posted a season-high 167 to lead the B-team to victory.

Turning Point: Forest Hills took command early in the match, and the Rangers never really looked back. Early on, Bustillo opened the match with two straight strikes before throwing two straight spares. With that strong start, his team never looked like they were even breaking a sweat, or their stride.

Quotable: "Early in the game, you get the wood, late in the game you get the spare," Forest Hills head coach Ira Wollen told his players. His advice to go for points paid off, as both of his top two teams had big leads with room to spare by the end of the game.

Bottom Line: The Rangers simply outplayed the Tigers in every category on the lanes Wednesday afternoon. The most important win of the afternoon wasn't the A-team, who easily handled Bushwick, but the B-team, whose high score on the year made a huge difference.

Key Stat: 12, the total number of strikes between Shawn Curtis and Dylan Bustillo. The anchors of each square left very few open frames between them, and it showed in the overall scores at the end of the match.
