team took home another dominant victory Monday night, hanging 55 points on division basement-dweller Springfield Gardens High School

The outcome was almost never in doubt, as the Rangers jumped out to a strong 16-8 lead after the first period, and then put on the afterburners in the second frame, outscoring the Golden Eagles 23-4.

With that huge second quarter, the Rangers were able to relax, and spent the rest of the game practically on autopilot, getting outscored in both the third and fourth quarters, but never being threatened.

Bottom Line: The Golden Eagles couldn't break through on defense against Forest Hills' starting five, and the scoring explosion that occurred in the second quarter was more than enough to keep Springfield Gardens at bay for almost the entire second half. Forest Hills, after a rough start to the season, is starting to prove they belong with the class of the division.
