The city’s public schools are letting students out for summer vacation today.
On June 27, the city Department of Education’s summer meals program kicks off, offering free breakfasts and lunches for students at more than 1,000 locales through Aug. 30. And summer school begins on July 8.
The 2013-2014 school year will begin on Sept. 9.
