Police Looking For Queens Boulevard Bank Robber

Man robbed Queens bank with handgun tucked into waistband Monday.

are asking for the public's help in finding a man responsible for a bank robbery on Queens Boulevard in the 108th Precinct.

On Dec. 20 at 11 a.m., a man entered the Chase Bank branch at 47-11 Queens Blvd. in Sunnyside. He approached the teller window with a handgun tucked into the waistband of his pants, and passed a note through the slot in the glass, according to police.

After receiving the threatening note and seeing the gun, the teller handed the alleged bank robber an unknown amount of cash through the window, which the perpetrator gathered and stuffed into his pockets before leaving in an unknown direction on foot.

The man is described as a white male, between five-foot-eight and five-foot-ten, between 180 and 200 pounds. He was wearing a light brown jacket and dark blue work pants at the time of the incident.

He was carrying a semi-automatic pistol, black and silver in color.

All information will be kept confidential.
