Beginning in 2009, citizen gatherings called “Tea Parties” began to protest increases in government spending, particularly in President Obama's economic stimulus package. Join us on March 22nd when Mark Landis, Professor Emeritus of Hofstra University, will take us through the origins, relative importance, and predicted impact of "The 21st Century Tea Party."

Prof. Landis received his B.A. from the City College of New York in 1966 and his Ph.D. from Columbia University in 1973. Dr. Landis has taught political science courses on constitutional law, law and politics, and the American presidency. He also served as Chair of the Political Science Department at Hofstra from 1996-2008. Free for members; $3 non-members.
