Bed Bug Found in Forest Hills School: Report

Department of Education informed parents earlier this week.

A bed bug was found at on Wednesday, according to myfoxy.com, and some parents are saying they weren’t properly informed.

Fox reported that the Department of Education sent home a letter to parents after finding one bed beg specimen in the school’s general office. Some parents, the site says, said they still weren't aware of the issue, though schools are legally required to disclose information about bedbugs.

Russel Sage, which is located on Austin Street at Yellowstone Boulevard, hosts over 1,000 students.

Department of Education spokeswoman Marge Feinberg told Fox that “schools are not hospitable environments for bed bugs and are brought in from the outside, usually in a bag or on clothing."
