Who Should Run for Congress as a Democrat?

With Ackerman retiring, who would you like to see take a shot at the new Sixth District?

While the dust from the redistricting process is still thick in the air, the people of Forest Hills know at least one thing — they have no idea who their Congress member will be in 2013.

With U.S. Rep. Bob Turner likely to take on Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand, and U.S. Rep. Gary Ackerman retiring, things are changing every day in the area from a political standpoint.

Just this morning, Assemblywoman Grace Meng, D-Flushing, accepted the nomination from Queens County Democrats, according to her office.

Assemblyman Rory Lancman, D-Hillcrest, who has lived in the area all his life, is not going down without a fight, however.

So we figured we'd ask you. Who would you like to see run for Congress in the new Sixth District, which includes Forest Hills and Flushing, among parts of other neighborhoods.
