What NY Media Is Saying About Weiner

It's a highway to the "Carlos Danger" zone.

Mayoral candidate and serial sexter Anthony Weiner started a tabloid fury Tuesday by revealing that he continued his lewd-messaging ways after his 2011 resignation from Congress.

Weiner held a press conference in the afternoon, admitting that newly-revealed messages were both genuine and took place last summer.

The New York Daily News called for Weiner to drop out of the race, saying his "dishonest, impulse-driven psyche is once more stripped as naked as the images of his texted private parts"

The New York Post played up Weiner's hilarious new pseudonym "Carlos Danger," before really digging into the nitty gritty of the new messages, which were extremely graphic in nature.

The Gotham Gazette was quick to republish a statement from the NYC chapter of the National Organization for Women, which called Weiner "unfit for public office."

The New York Times, unsurprisingly, played it straight, spilling a lot of ink giving Weiner's wife, Huma Abedin, space to tell her side of the story. Their editorial board also advised him to drop out of the race.

Despite the Category 5 media storm that has surrounded this most recent revelation, Weiner remains firmly entrenched in his mayoral campaign, despite an increasingly loud refrain from those in the race who want him gone. That includes Democrats Sal Albanese and Bill de Blasio, both of whom trail Weiner in the polls.
