Trump Over Cuomo? GOP All For It

New York Post says state leaders are courting the Donald.

New York Republicans looking to unseat Gov. Andrew Cuomo may have found their (ahem) ... Trump card.

According to the New York Post, state GOP leaders are courting the real estate mogul to make a run against the governor. The only problem is Trump doesn't seem interested in the gig.

GOP leader Ed Cox is pursuing Trump despite the mogul's ties to the "birther" movement, a group that refuses to believe President Barack Obama was born in the United States.

At the state level, Trump has been highly critical of Cuomo, specifically for the state's high taxes and the governor's cautious stance on fracking.

One thing is for sure, Long Islanders might not rally to back Trump as a candidate after he abandoned plans to build a catering hall at Jones Beach.

Seems he's more fond of Plum Island.
