Queens Pols Want More Input on Statue: Report

After years of controversy, people just want to be kept informed, paper says.

With the ferver over the fate of "Triumph of Civic Virtue" climbing to a fever pitch, Queens political leaders and history buffs want to be kept in the loop on the fate of the controversial statue, the New York Daily News says.

In a report on Wednesday, the paper said Queens officials, including Community Board members, City Council members and the borogh president have all asked city officials to let them help in the decision making process on the fate of the statue.
