Queens borough president honored by Queens Jewish Community Council.

Queens Borough President Helen Marshall was honored with a lifetime achievement award from the Queens Jewish Community Council.

The group gave Marshall the award during a gala on Aug. 13. 

The borough president, who will finish out her third and final term this fall, previously served as a City Council member and state assemblywoman.

She was joined at the gala by state Sen. Toby Stavisky, D-Whitestone, City Council members Peter Koo, D-Flushing, and Karen Koslowitz, D-Forest Hills, state Assembly members David Weprin, D-Little Neck, and Nily Rozic, D-Fresh Meadows, and former Assemblyman Rory Lancman.
