Meng Tours Forest Hills' FEMA Office with Napolitano

Congresswoman and Homeland Security secretary stop by agency's Queens Boulevard office.

U.S. Rep. Grace Meng, D-Flushing, and Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano dropped by the Federal Emergency Management Agency's Forest Hills office for a tour on Friday.

FEMA's locale on Queens Boulevard, which is located in the same building as Meng's new district office, acts as headquarters for Hurricane Sandy relief efforts in the five boroughs.

The office, located at 118-35 Queens Blvd., opened last November and occupies 10 floors of the building.

"Many homeowners, communities and small businesses are still recovering from the havoc Sandy wreaked upon our region and we must continue to do all we can to help them get back on their feet, Meng said.”
