Local Pols Host Jewish Leadership Breakfast

Forest Hills politicians hail local religious leaders for community spirit.

Local politicians Andrew Hevesi, Karen Koslowitz and Toby Stavisky gathered together last week with Forest Hills' Jewish leaders to discuss the year ahead.

For his part, Hevesi said the breakfast — the second of its kind — was a huge help in identifying community issues.

“It was a very productive breakfast, we touched on some great issues and left with a clear plan about how we are going to move forward,” Hevesi said. “I’m looking forward to continuing this dialogue with leaders in the Jewish community.”

City Councilwoman Karen Koslowitz was also impressed with the event.

"“It is a great forum to connect with Jewish leaders who work with their members to improve the quality of life in Forest Hills and Rego Park," she said.
