Lancman Vs. Gottlieb: Who's Right?

Things have taken a nasty turn in the campaign to run as a Democrat in New York's new Sixth Congressional District.

Gottlieb's candidacy has been called into question by Assemblyman Rory Lancman,

Queens Democrats have denied the accusation, and Gottlieb attacked Lancman in his campaign's inaugural announcement on Tuesday, saying he has every intention of serving his country in Congress.

So who's right? Is Gottlieb really just a proxy designed to pull Jewish voters away from Lancman? Or did he go to far in making that suggestion? Will all this infighting hurt the Democrats when it's time to face Republican Dan Halloran in the fall?
