Koslowitz to Hold Community Forum

Dec. 5 event will feature city reps to talk about Forest Hills issues.

City Councilwoman Karen Koslowitz, D-Forest Hills, announced this week that she would be holding the first ever community forum on Dec. 5.

The event is designed to bring local residents together with city agencies to resolve pressing issues.

Everything from immigration concerns to neighborhood quality of life issues to affordable housing will be on the table.

The event will take place at the Central Queens Y on 108th Street from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 5.

Koslowitz will be in attendance, along with representatives from the 112 Precinct, CUNY NOW Immigration Services, the NYC Department of Transportation and more. There will be English- and Russian-speaking representatives of each office.

Koslowitz is likely looking to build on the strong turnout from events earlier this year, like the meeting this summer about flooding concerns in Forest Hills.
