Koslowitz and Clean-up Crews Take On Area Graffiti

Groups clean up Elmhurst underpass on community improvement day.

Council member Karen Koslowitz, D-Forest Hills, partnered with community groups from Elmhurst to clean up graffiti at an LIRR underpass in the area.

"I am very proud to announce that this site, which has been vandalized with graffiti for too long, will benefit from the great work done by NYC Community Cleanup," Koslowitz said. "By working with this wonderful organization, COMET and the LIRR, we will begin to improve this area of Elmhurst which has been neglected for years."

COMET President Rosemarie Daraio said “This is a great program that will remove the eyesore of graffiti in the Elmhurst area.  I thank Council Member Koslowitz and NYC Community Cleanup for making this a reality for our neighborhood.”
