How Will the USPS Handle The Lack of a Queens Facility?

-

News broke Thursday likely before the May deadline that they were given.

Are you concerned about what the closure means for mail service in Queens? Do you think you’re likely to see slower service through the post office?

What about the 1,000 job that will disappear along with the center?

Let us know what you think about the closure in the comments below.

I am greatly concerned - on many levels. This situation is very troubling and certainly deserves more creative thinking than simply closings and layoffs. Check out Senator Bernie Sanders proposal to expand the Post Office's ability to increase its services rather than guarantee the doomed position of status quo - which obviously doesn't work. The situation, as it stands now, will only get worse. We need to save these facilities and jobs because once they're gone, they're not coming back.
