Hevesi Gets Chair Of Assembly Oversight Committee

Will rule on state issues of transparency, efficiency in state government.

The state legislative session may be over, but Albany is still making news downstate, especially when it comes to the office of local Assemblyman Andrew Hevesi.

Earlier this week, Hevesi, (D-Forest Hills) was named the chairman of the Assembly’s Oversight, Analysis and Investigations Committee, he announced.

“Providing oversight of the state’s agencies and authorities is crucial to having an efficient and responsible government,” Hevesi said. “I look forward to working with Speaker Silver and my colleagues to ensure that all entities are acting efficiently, responsibly, and in compliance with the legislative intent under which they were created.”
