Halloran Makes it Official

With submission of signatures, Councilman earns GOP nod in Forest Hills.

City Councilman Dan Halloran, R-Bayside, submitted his petition signatures this week, the final stel in cementing his run for Congress in Queens' newest district.

“Today we assured that the voters of Queens will have a choice this November,” Halloran said. “They can choose the same old failed policies of President Obama and the Democratic Party that have gotten us $4 gasoline, no jobs, and a weakened national defense.  Or they can vote for me and choose to create new energy sources, grow our economy, and protect our ally Israel"

Halloran will not have to face a Republican Primary campaign, while four Democrats in Queens — Elizabeth Crowley, Grace Meng, Rory Lancman and Jeff Gottlieb — will duke it out to see who takes him on in the general.
