Forest Hills' Lew on GQ Power List

Jack Lew ranks as the 16th most powerful man in Washington, magazine says.

who is just days away from stepping in as President Barack Obama's new chief of staff, is turning heads all over the place these days, ranking in a tie for number 16 on GQ's list of the most powerful people in Washington.

The grad was ranked at 16, along with White House National Economic Council Director Gene Spurling.

Lew ranked ahead of such D.C. luminaries as New York Sen. Chuck Schumer, number 17, Washington Post blogger Ezra Klein, and Washington Nationals pitching phenom Stephen Strasburg.

Lew was still behind former New York Senator and current Secretary of State Hilary Clinton. Topping the list was House Majority Leader Eric Cantor.

The list went public less than a week after Lew was named as the incoming White House chief of staff, replacing the outgoing Bill Daley.
