Find a Place to Watch the Debate in Forest Hills

Barack Obama! Mitt Romney! Passive-aggressive rhetoric! Now that's television.

Wednesday night is the first of three presidential debates before Election Day on Nov. 6. President Barack Obama and former Gov. Mitt Romney will be sparring on domestic policy starting at 9 p.m.

The debate will take place at the University of Denver in Colorado and will be hosted by NewsHour's Jim Lehrer.

There are a few different ways to watch. If you're the homebody type, the debate will be broadcast on all major networks, as well as streamed online at YouTube

But not everyone wants to hang on the couch in their socks with a mug of chamomile. This only happens every four years, after all. Plus, it's more fun to watch with people who take it personally and yell at the screen.

If you're trying to find a watch party that will be packed with local Democrats, try Barack Obama's website. We found two local house parties in Forest Hills. Make sure you RSVP.

Lean to the right? Mitt Romney's website also has an event finder stocked with local watch parties.

If you want to watch the debate at a local restaurant or bar, the pickings are slim. So far, we've only found one spot — Uno Chicago Grill on 70th Road — promising to turn on the debates with the sound.

If you find another place hosting a debate event, let us know in the comments.
