CB 6 to Vote on Parking Space Proposal, Footbridge Renaming on Oct. 9

Board will also hear a presentation from the city's Taxi and Limousine Commission.

Community Board 6 will discuss capital and expense budget items as well as hear presentations from the city’s Taxi and Limousine Commission and a proposal to rename a local footbridge during its Oct. 9 meeting.

The board will meet at Kew Gardens Community Center, located at 80-02 Kew Gardens Road, suite 202, at 7:30 p.m.

A public hearing and vote will be held on capital and expense budget items for the district for Fiscal Year 2015.

Erica Leyva, external affairs analyst for the TLC, will talk about the city’s five borough taxi plan during the meeting.

And the board will discuss a proposal to rename a footbridge over the Long Island Expressway between Forest Hills and Corona for a colonial era structure known as Coe’s Mill.

CB 6 will vote on a proposal to remove parking spaces at 71st Avenue and Metropolitan Avenue.

And the board will vote on new liquor license notifications, applications and renewals.
