CB 6 to Hear DOT Proposal to Remove Parking Spaces at Tonight's Meeting

Board will also hold its election and vote liquor licenses.

Community Board 6 will host its first meeting of the fall this evening at 7:45 p.m. in Kew Gardens.

The board, which covers Forest Hills and Rego Park, will gather at the Kew Gardens Community Center, located at 80-02 Kew Gardens Road, suite 202.

During the meeting, the board will elect its officer as well as hear a proposal from the city’s Department of Transportation on removing 14 parking spaces at Metropolitan Avenue and 71st Avenue in an effort to cut down on traffic accidents.

The DOT will also discuss the intersection of Austin Street and Union Turnpike.

CB 6 will also hold a public hearing on the good and welfare of the district and vote on liquor license applications for 11 businesses and renewals for 14 other stores.
