Al Qaeda Targets Weiner For Roast In Newsletter: Report

Full-page ad in newsletter picks on Congressman's scandal.

Anthony Weiner’s embarrassing scandal has certainly generated its fair share of laughs as well as cringes, but now the laughter is coming from an unexpected place: al Qaeda, so says the Daily News.

In a report published this morning, the paper says that al Qaeda’s recruitment newsletter “Inspire” included a full-page mock ad, with a photo of the former congressman and some taunting words to go along with it.

Weiner resigned from his seat in the House of Representatives earlier this year after a sexting scandal in which he admitted to sending lewd photos to a series of women across the Internet.

The mocking ad makes fun of Weiner’s initial defense on the matter, with a fake quote next to the large photo that reportedly reads “This was a prank to make fun of my name!”

The Daily News added that “Inspire” is believed to be published by a former resident of Queens, 25-year-old Samir Khan, who would have been familiar with Weiner.
