Woman Killed in Queens Boulevard Hit and Run

Elmhurst's Nisath Hossain died after being struck by a car while crossing the boulevard on Saturday night.

A 58-year-old woman was killed after being struck in an apparent hit and run Saturday night in Forest Hills, police said.

Nisath Hossain, of Elmhurst, was hit by a car while she was crossing Queens Boulevard near 71st Avenue around 11 p.m.

She was struck by a westbound car and the driver fled the scene, police said. Hossain was taken to North Shore University Hospital, where she was pronounced dead.

No arrests have been made in the incident.

Queens Boulevard has long been known as the “boulevard of death” due to the high number of pedestrians being fatally struck while crossing the road.
