A building superintendent found two elderly women dead in an apartment in Forest Hills Wednesday morning, according to police.
At around 10:50 a.m. police responded to a call at an apartment building on 108th Street. They arrived and found the building super, who had entered an apartment after complaints of a water leak.
Upon entering the apartment, the super found Leah Roth, 88 with her sister Ilene, 79. Both were unconscious. Neither of the women were responsive and EMT's were called. The women were pronounced dead at the scene.
Authorities said there were no signs of forced entry in the apartment and no signs of trauma.
The Medical Examiner will determine their causes of death.
