Queens DA: Two Women Nabbed in Forest Hills Gardens Robbery

Hollis resident and another from Staten Island are accused of driving the getaway car in robbery.

A Queens woman and another from Staten Island have been arrested for their alleged role in a gunpoint robbery in Forest Hills Gardens last month, the Queens district attorney said.

Robin Hamilton, 45, of Hollis, and Sharhonda Hart, 28, of Staten Island, have been arrested on charges of robbery, grand larceny, criminal possession of stolen property, identity theft and unlawful possession of personal identification information, Queens DA Richard Brown said.

On June 29, three women were walking to a residence on Slocum Crescent in Forest Hills Gardens just after noon when two men, one of whom was holding a gun, approached them and took their credit cards, jewelry, a pocket book, two iPhones, an iPad, a camera and cash.

Hart and Hamilton are alleged to have driven the getaway car, the DA said.

Hamilton allegedly admitted to police that she and Hart picked up the two men in Brooklyn, drove them to Queens and pulled over when they saw the three women, Brown said. The two women were then alleged to have driven the men back to Brooklyn.
