Suspect Sought in Forest Hills Attempted Robbery

Man tries to steal cash at CitiBank, chickens out and flees.

Police in the 112 Precinct are seeking a suspect wanted in connection with an attempted robbery last month.

According to the NYPD, the suspect entered the CitiBank branch at 107-01 71st Ave. in Forest Hills' shopping district on Aug. 31 at 11:45 a.m.

The suspect approached the teller and passed a note demanding cash. When the teller refused, the man fled the location.

There were no injuries as a result of the incident.

Police are seeking a 30-year-old man, 5'7" and roughly 180 pounds. He was wearing a white T-shirt and shorts, with sunglasses.

DCPI released two photos of the suspect, attached at right.
