Update: Missing Girl Returned Home

Flushing teen disappeared on Tuesday night.

Update, 5:01 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 21: Police sources say that Markovic has returned home in good condition.


Police in Queens are asking for the public's help in locating a Queens teenager who went missing Tuesday at 8 p.m.

Alyssa Markovic, 16, was last seen leaving her 35th Avenue home in Flushing on Tuesday.

Markovic is described as 5'7", 108 pounds with dark blonde hair.

At the time of her disappearance, she was wearing pink sweat pants, a navy blue jacket and purple boots. She was carrying a green bag with an image of the Statue of Liberty. 

If anyone has any information, they are asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477). The public can also submit their tips at the Crime Stoppers website at WWW.NYPDCRIMESTOPPERS.COM or by texting their tips to 274637 (CRIMES) then entering TIP577.
