Precinct Seeking Yet Another Mugging Suspect

Purse-snatching robbery on Yellowstone Tuesday latest in rise in muggings.

in Forest Hills are seeking a suspect in connection with one forced robbery incident, separate from the that have occurred over the last two weeks.

On Jan. 18, a 51-year-old woman was walking near the intersection of Yellowstone Boulevard and Alderton Street she was approached by a young man between the ages of 18 and 20 who was unknown to her.

He demanded her purse and when she surrendered it to him, he pushed her to the ground and fled, getting into a small white vehicle and fleeing the scene.

The suspect is described as a white man, 18-20 years of age, approximately 6-feet-tall. The suspect also had a thin build and a light complexion.

A police sketch has been passed around at local precincts and is shown at right.
