Police Seeking Suspect In Gas Station Stick-Up

Police in the 112 Precinct are looking for a man involved in a knifepoint gas station robbery at the Getty gas station at 75-41 Yellowstone Blvd. on the border of Forest Hills.

On Wednesday, June 1, a man walked in and brandished a knife at the service station, demanding money from the register.

The attendant at the station then handed the suspect an unknown amount of cash, at which point the suspect bolted from the gas station and fled in a car in an uknown direction.

The suspect is described as a white man between 5-foot-ten and six feet tall, wearing  a dark-colored vest with a T-shirt and dark jeans and a black baseball cap.

Anyone with informationis asked to call Crime stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477).  The public can also submit tips by logging onto the Crime stoppers website at WWW.NYPDCRIMESTOPPERS.COM or by texting their tips to 274637 (CRIMES), then entering TIP577.
