Police Seeking Queens Blvd. Purse Snatcher

Police in Forest Hills and Rego Park are on the lookout for a purse-snatcher who struck on Queens Boulevard last week.

On Tuesday, Feb. 21 at around 5 p.m. the suspect grabbed the victim’s bag from the floor of a store in the 97-block of Queens Boulevard in Rego Park.

The victim had put the bag down and was looking around the store, police said.

After grabbing the purse, the suspect fled the store in an unknown direction, but was caught in the act by security cameras.

The suspect is described as between five-foot-nine and six-feet-tall with a black leather jacket, black pants and black hat. He was betweent he ages of 45 and 50 and was wearing glasses at the time of the incident.
