Police Seeking Man Wanted For Jamaica Avenue Sexual Assault

Dragged victim into alley early Tuesday morning.

Police are asking for the public's help in locating a suspect wanted in connection with a sexual assault in the 102 Precinct on Tuesday, July 26 at 6 a.m.

According to investigators, at around 6 a.m. on Tuesday, a man approached a 35-year-old Hispanic woman near the intersection of Jamaica Avenue and and 89th Street. The suspect grabbed the woman from behind and placed her in a choke hold, then dragged her into an alley.

Once out of site, the suspect punched the victim in the head and back then proceeded to sexually assault her.

The man in question is Guyanese or Hispanic and in his 20's. His face is clearly visible in surveillance video taken from a camera near the incident.
