Police Seeking Suspect in Forest Hills Rapes

Suspect has allegedly also mugged three female victims in the Forest Hills area since May 19.

Police in the 112th Precinct are seeking a knife-wielding suspect wanted for a string of attacks on Forest Hills women over the past few weeks.

The most recent incident occured this past Sunday, June 3, when a 22-year-old woman was entering her Forest Hills home where the suspect allegedly approached her brandishing a knife and mugged her. An eyewitness saw the scene unfolding and the suspect fled. There were no reported injuries.

According to cops, the first incident occured May 19 at 3:29 a.m. as a 19-year-old woman was heading into her home when the suspect grabbed her with a knife, pulled her into a walkway and sexually abused her. He removed money and the victim's cell phone and fled in an unknown direction.

On May 28 at 3 a.m., the same suspect allegedly grabbed and raped a 17-year-old victim after dragging her into an alley. He was also armed with a knife at the time. The victim went to a nearby hospital and was released.

Police are seeking 20-year-old Ibrahima Ragis, who stands 5-foot-5 with black hair, for questioning in all three incidents. A photo is attached with the article, and is being distributed by police.
