Police Seek Two In Fatal Jewel Avenue Shooting

NYPD looking for suspects in neighboring 107 Precinct.

Police are seeking the public’s help in investigating a shooting that took place in the neighboring 107th Precinct over the holiday weekend.

On Saturday, July 2nd, an 18-year-old man walked into a Queens police station and told officers that he had been shot, along with his mother, in their car on Jewel Avenue.

Police and emergency medical crews took the 18-year-old victim to the hospital and went to the location of the vehicle, a 2006 blue Volkswagen, where they found 39-year-old Christina Coleman, shot in the head. She was pronounced dead at the scene.

After an investigation, police are seeking two men for questioning in connection with the shootings.

The first is 21-year-old Lerome Robinson, of Jewel Avenue, described as five-foot-eight, 165 pounds, with black eyes and short black hair.

The second is 22-year-old Mark Coleman, also of Jewel Avenue, described as 5-foot-nine, 180 pounds with brown eyes and braided hair. He has a tattoo that reads “Christina” on the right side of his neck.
