Police Seek Suspect in Rego Park Sexual Assault

Man threw woman down a flight of steps and sexually assaulted her.

Police said they are searching for a suspect who sexually assaulted a woman on Friday night in the 112th Precinct.

The victim was leaving Rego Park’s R train station at 63rd Drive and Queens Boulevard when the suspect asked her for her name and phone number.

The woman refused to give her number and entered a Rite Aid store, where the suspect continued to follow her and then waited for her outside.

When the victim left the pharmacy, the suspect followed her, grabbed her and threw her down a flight of steps, police said. He then raped her as well as stole her cell phone and purse.

The suspect is believed to be in his 20s and is described as 5 feet, 7 inches tall with a mustache.

Police said the suspect told the victim his name was Junior.
