Police Search For Forest Hills Armed Robber

are seeking the public's assistance in the search for suspects in three armed robberies, including one that took place on Metropolitan Avenue in Forest Hills on Halloween.

At 3:35 a.m. on Oct. 31, a man in a brown hooded jacket allegedly stalked into the store at 101-04 Metropolitan Ave. with a gun, walked up to the counter and demanded money.

The suspect fled the convenience store on foot after allegedly perpetrating the robbery. He is described as a white man, with a stocky build about 6 feet tall. He was last seen wearing a brown hooded jacket with a Dallas Cowboys sweatshirt.

Just hours later, were trick or treating up and down Metropolitan Avenue, with the protection of officers from the 112 Precinct.

The robbery in Forest Hills was the second in a string of three robberies in Queens, all perpetrated in 7 Eleven stores.

The first robbery took place at a Long Island City 7 Eleven on Northern Boulevard at 3 a.m. on Oct. 30. The first suspect and an accomplice, described as a black man standing 5-foot-8 with a stocky build, allegedly walked into the store with handguns and demanded money.

Police think the first suspect acted alone during the Forest Hills incident the following night.

On Monday, Nov. 1, the two suspects were allegedly working together again, this time to rob the 7 Eleven location at 31-31 Thomson Avenue in Long Island City.
