Police Release Photo, Description Of New Mugging Suspect

Third possible suspect in as many weeks caught on camera after robbery.

in the 112th Precinct have released a photograph of a suspect they believe may be connected with yet another mugging in the area.

The photograph and description represents the third different mugging suspect in the area in less than a month.

The incident in question occurred on Jan. 24 at about 5:15 p.m. near the intersection of 65th Avenue and Saunders Street in Rego Park. The suspect approached a 66-year-old female from behind and punched her, then stole her purse and fled on foot towards 65th Avenue.

The suspect is described as a 20-year-old man who could be either white or Hispanic, around six-feet-tall and 160 pounds with a thin build. At the time of the incident, the suspect was wearing a black hat, black jacket, black scarf and gloves with blue jeans and white sneakers.
