Police: Queens Man Fondled 11-Year-Old Long Island Girl at His Ice Cream Truck

Muhammad Chaudhry, 63, is arrested Wednesday, police say.

A Queens man is accused of sexually abusing an 11-year-old girl last month while she was making a purchase at his ice cream truck on Long Island, Suffolk police said. 

According to police, Muhammad Chaudhry, 63, was operating his ice cream truck in Wyandanch on May 21 shortly before 7:30 p.m. when the girl approached the truck. 

During the ensuing transaction, Chaudhry, of Middle Village, fondled the child, police said.

Following an investigation by Special Victims Section detectives, Chaudhry was arrested Wednesday afternoon on North 16th Street in Wyandanch, police said.

Chaudhry is charged with first degree sexual abuse and endangering the welfare of a child. He is being held overnight at the Seventh Precinct and is scheduled to appear at First District Court in Central Islip on Thursday.
