Police Make Arrest in Local Bank Robbery

Man charged in three incidents starting last month.

Police announced on Thursday the arrest of a Queens man in connection with three robberies in the borough, including one in the 112 Precinct.

On Thursday, April 26 at 1:30 p.m., a suspect walked into the Chase Bank at 99-00 Metropolitan Avenue and passed a note to the teller demanding cash. He brandished a black handgun at bank employees, who handed him an unknown amount of cash before he fled.

An hour later, the same suspect allegedly robbed yet another bank in the same manner, this time in a Capitol One bank branch on Union Turnpike in the 105 Precinct.
