Police Department Is Searching For Suspect In Recent Robbery In Forest Hills
Assailant Allegedly Attacked Woman, Stole Her Pocketbook And Fled Via Subway
The New York Police Department is asking for the public's assistance in finding the suspect of a robbery that occurred in Forest Hills on Nov. 29.
Described as a thin, six-foot-two-inch African-American male in his 30s, the suspect was last captured on surveillance video entering the subway station at 78th Avenue and Queens Boulevard. As seen in the accompanying photo, he was carrying a pocketbook and wearing a black wool hat, black jacket with fur, blue jeans and black sneakers.
The assailant allegedly approached a 54-year-old white female from behind just before midnight on Nov. 29 in the vicinity of 111-29 78th Ave. The suspect then pushed the victim to the ground and began punching and kicking her about the face and body. He then took the woman's pocketbook -- which contained money, credit cards and miscellaneous papers -- and fled the location.

The victim sustained bruising and pain but was not hospitalized, according to reports.
