On the Agenda: Tonight's Pct. Council Meeting

An introduction to the new top dog in the 112 awaits you.

Want a chance to shake hands with the new Big Man In Precinct? Head over to tonight's 112 Precinct Community Council meeting.

Wednesday night's agenda features an introduction to Captain Thomas Conforti, new commanding officer of the precinct. Conforti replaced former CO Christopher Tamola, who moved on to Patrol Borough Queens North.

There's more to see at the meeting, as well. The agenda is as follows, according to Precinct Council President Heidi Chain.

  • Introduction to Commanding Officer Conforti, including a question and answer session with local residents.
  • Crime rundown of the most recent precinct statistics.
  • A first-aid session with members of the Forest Hills Volunteer Ambulance Corps. The event is a refresher course on basic first-aid training.
  • Chain will also highlight an upcoming Community Emergency Response Team event scheduled for Sept. 30. For more information, come to the meeting.

Things will get started at 7:30 p.m. at the 112 Precinct Command Center at 68-40 Austin Street.
